The Art of Giving
Delivering valuable service is the bare minimum a business should provide to its clients. But how about doing something more? Would that be crazy?
The Actors' Enterprise prides itself on going above and beyond for its students and alumni, and the public at large. That's why we have worked tirelessly to build a community that gives a little something to the actors that inspire it.
Student and Graduate Benefits
• Free Consultation: Spend 30 minutes picking the brain of career coach, Erin Cronican, and get a sense of what this kind of service would be like. Consultations are done over coffee on the Upper East Side. To schedule your time, email us.
• Get Discounts: TAE has partnered with over twenty companies to bring discounts to TAE's family. TAE Students and Graduates can show their TAE receipt and receive discounts on services actors use every day, like headshots, demo reel editing, vocal coaching, printing, massage therapy, and more! • Free Support: Actors who purchase a session package will also receive unlimited support via email between sessions.
• Strong Community: TAE students are automatically included the “TAE Pros” Yahoo Group, designed to provide a forum for TAE students and graduates to communicate with each other. This group regularly trades casting notices, job opportunities, housing information, and acts as an advisory board where actors can get advice from the more than 100 fellow members. This benefit never expires, so once you join you will always be included!
• Referral Program: TAE believes strongly in rewarding those who take the time to pass on a good word. Therefore, refer someone to TAE and when they set up their sessions, you will receive a credit for $5 off YOUR next set of sessions.
Giving Back to the Community at Large
I have always been passionate about making a contribution to those around me, and this doesn't stop at the acting community. As individuals, we have the power to make a difference in the lives of those who are hungry, persecuted, threatened, or neglected, or just in the need of a little humanity.
The Actors' Enterprise is committed to raising the consciousness of the acting community by being an example through taking action. We have several areas of giving:
• Donation: TAE makes donations throughout the year to charities such as The Actors' Fund, New York Cares and Animal Haven Shelter.
• Volunteering: We believe that the gift of TIME is one of the most important things we can offer to others. TAE sponsors teams of volunteers throughout the year to participate in charity walks, donation drives, and volunteer driven events in New York City.
• TAE Blog: Bite-Size Business with The Actors' Enterprise is an informative and motivating resource for actors and anyone looking to learn the business of being an artist. Updated several times a week with articles on the business, and organized by topic for easy searching.
• Resource Directory: TAE has spent hours upon hours compiling a comprehensive list of recommended links to help actors wade through the massive amount of websites available. Please visit our Directory to view recommendations organized by TAG and KEYWORD.
